These are ephemera inspired bookmarks with a touch of bling and tech. These NFC enabled bookmarks allow you to write small bits of code, whether it’s a secret message, a link to a YouTube song, or even dim the lights. These NFC tags are re-writable so how you use them is up to you. On the back they have a quote by Jane Austen. They feature an inspired collage of ephemera, an artwork by Nate Sullivan, covered in a glossy resin. And topped off, they have an upcycled piece of jewelry.

This run of bookmarks feature the following:

  • 2.5″ x 6″ bookmark
  • Jane Austen quote from Pride & Prejudice
  • Re-writable NFC tag (tap NFC enabled smartphone near artwork to interact)
  • Artwork by Nate Sullivan; resin covered window
  • Two pieces of inspired ephemera (reproductions of 19th century designs)
  • Upcycled jewelry tassle

What are NFC tags?

NFC tags are similar to the NFC technology that’s used in your payment card, that allows you to Tap to Pay. Using an app like NFC Tools on your iPhone, you can write little snippets of code (at text message, or link to a website) and it’s save to the NFC tag. Just tap your phone next to the tag (in this case your bookmark) and you’ll be prompted to a link, or use NFC Tools to read the secret message.

These bookmarks are inspired by vintage designs, with a bit of sparkle and cool tech. Each one has an NFC tag (like the kind used for Tap to Pay) that lets you save small bits of info, like a secret message, a link to a favorite song, or even a command to dim the lights! You can re-write the tag whenever you want, so the possibilities are endless.

Here’s what makes them special:

  • Size: 2.5″ x 6″
  • Quote: A classic line from Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice
  • Tech: A re-writable NFC tag (tap your smartphone near the artwork to use it!)
  • Art: Beautiful collage art by Nate Sullivan, protected with glossy resin
  • Design: Vintage-inspired pieces from the 19th century
  • Finishing touch: An upcycled jewelry tassel for extra flair

What’s an NFC tag?
NFC (Near Field Communication) tags are tiny chips, just like what you use for Tap to Pay. With a free app like NFC Tools, you can write a short message, save a link, or store other info on the tag. Just tap your phone near the bookmark, and you’ll see the message or link pop up!

These bookmarks are not only functional but also a little piece of art and history. Grab yours before they’re gone!
